  • Disposable email addresses are no longer accepted upon email subscriptions. For this purpose, we created an open source project aggregating disposable email domains daily. Contributions and stars on Github are welcome ;)

  • Project administrators have a new option on the Noticeable dashboard to resend a confirmation email to subscribers who have a non-verified email address when double opt-in is used.

  • We added options to easily configure Newspage analytics collection using Cloudflare or Fathom, in addition to Google Analytics which is known for privacy issues.

  • We fixed an issue preventing metrics collection on email subscribers created before the email feature preview was available.

  • When you hover the relative publication date and time of a publication from the publication list on the Noticeable dashboard, a tooltip showing the absolute date and time is now displayed.

  • When you open the sidebar to get details about an email dispatch, it displays the recipient email address if the dispatch is about an email subscription confirmation, and the publication ID if the dispatch is related to a publication.

  • When a publication is duplicated, the user who performs the action is now set as the author of the publication.

  • There is a new option in Newspage settings (Newspage > Customization > Display a search form) to remove the search form from your page.

  • The search form on Newspages is now automatically submitted when the input field is focused out.

Custom MAIL FROM Domain

We’re proud to announce that you can now configure a custom MAIL FROM domain for emails sent by Noticeable. This helps improve deliverability and trust.

The configuration requires a few steps:

  1. Click on “Emails” in the left navigation on the Noticeable dashboard.

  2. Open the “Email domains” settings group and click “Add domain”.

  3. In the dialog that appears enter your company email domain (e.g. acme.com) and click “Continue”.

  4. At this stage, you are asked to add a set of DNS records to your domain’s DNS provider. These records are required to prove that you own the domain. Once done, click “Verify”.

Upon verification, your domain is automatically activated and emails you send now appear as coming from your company domain:

Note that Noticeable follows industry standards and once the configuration is completed, your emails are authenticated, thus passing DMARC and SPF verifications.

  • Added options to select whether you want to track links and/or opens (both are enabled by default) for emails sent by Noticeable:

  • Click counts on CTA buttons embedded in emails sent by Noticeable are now collected appropriately.

  • Double opt-int subscriptions is the default. Switching to single-opt for subscriptions now requires to be on the Business plan or above.

  • Fixed a bug preventing organizations on the Free, Starter and Growth plan to update some basic widget settings without upgrading to the Business plan.

  • Similarly to draft publications, metrics for scheduled publications are no longer collected until the publication time is in the past.

Newspage Search 🔍

Newspages

Newspages now include a search field that enables full-text search. You can easily find publications based on your own terms. Search applies to publications’ author name, content, and title.

Note that you can combine search terms with label selection to further filter results.

Besides, all sentences related to the new search feature are fully customizable from the Noticeable dashboard:

  1. Select Newspage on the left navigation.

  2. Open the Phrases settings group.

  3. Click the Search category and apply the changes you need:

  • Email dispatches now include a detailed summary that shows statistics about emails that have been processed (i.e. hard bounces, soft-bounces, complaints, unsubscribes, etc.):

  • When a hard-bounce or spam complaint is received, the associated email subscription is automatically cleaned, meaning that non-desired content will no longer be sent to such email addresses on next dispatches.

  • The publication scheduling feature is now available starting with the Growth plan.

  • The emails preview no longer requires an invitation.

  • You can now access the history of all email dispatches and filter them by type.

  • When removing the draft status of a publication from the step 3 of the editor (Summary), if the publication date and time is 15 minutes older than the current one, you will then see a dialog asking whether you want to set the publication date and time to now.

Double opt-in support for email subscriptions

Double opt-in support is now available to all organizations on the Emails preview:

Note that double opt-in is the default for all new accounts but needs to be updated manually from the emails settings for existing accounts.

  • Metrics are no longer collected for draft publications. This includes reactions, views, Call-To-Actions (CTA), link clicks, etc. It is also no longer possible to submit user feedback on draft publications.

  • We’ve added a new option to disable auto-refresh on Newspages if needed.

Newspages are now optional

Similarly to widgets, you can now control per project if a Newspage is enabled or not. This is useful in the case you want to keep content private and only use Widgets for instance.

Note that advanced options such as password and IP filtering are available on higher plans.
