Enhancement
  • Disposable email addresses are no longer accepted upon email subscriptions. For this purpose, we created an open source project aggregating disposable email domains daily. Contributions and stars on Github are welcome ;)

  • Project administrators have a new option on the Noticeable dashboard to resend a confirmation email to subscribers who have a non-verified email address when double opt-in is used.

  • We added options to easily configure Newspage analytics collection using Cloudflare or Fathom, in addition to Google Analytics which is known for privacy issues.

  • We fixed an issue preventing metrics collection on email subscribers created before the email feature preview was available.

  • When you hover the relative publication date and time of a publication from the publication list on the Noticeable dashboard, a tooltip showing the absolute date and time is now displayed.

  • When you open the sidebar to get details about an email dispatch, it displays the recipient email address if the dispatch is about an email subscription confirmation, and the publication ID if the dispatch is related to a publication.

  • When a publication is duplicated, the user who performs the action is now set as the author of the publication.

  • There is a new option in Newspage settings (Newspage > Customization > Display a search form) to remove the search form from your page.

  • The search form on Newspages is now automatically submitted when the input field is focused out.

  • Added options to select whether you want to track links and/or opens (both are enabled by default) for emails sent by Noticeable:

  • Click counts on CTA buttons embedded in emails sent by Noticeable are now collected appropriately.

  • Double opt-int subscriptions is the default. Switching to single-opt for subscriptions now requires to be on the Business plan or above.

  • Fixed a bug preventing organizations on the Free, Starter and Growth plan to update some basic widget settings without upgrading to the Business plan.

  • Similarly to draft publications, metrics for scheduled publications are no longer collected until the publication time is in the past.

  • Email dispatches now include a detailed summary that shows statistics about emails that have been processed (i.e. hard bounces, soft-bounces, complaints, unsubscribes, etc.):

  • When a hard-bounce or spam complaint is received, the associated email subscription is automatically cleaned, meaning that non-desired content will no longer be sent to such email addresses on next dispatches.

  • The publication scheduling feature is now available starting with the Growth plan.

Updates for April 20, 2022

Enhancement
  • Due to recent abuses to trigger spam notifications to our customers by automating feedback creation from Newspages or Widgets, we added a rate limit to a set of actions. This should not affect legitimate usage. However, if you are still experiencing spam, please drop us a line below or via email.

  • The widget trigger of type “None” is now supporting automatic widget opening. This means that if you create for example a modal widget with “None” as trigger, and publish a new publication with the option “Automatically open widgets when the publication is new” in order to automate the opening of your widget, then your modal widget will now automatically open to users who have not already seen the publication.

  • An option to download user feedback as CSV has been added.

  • You can control per Newspage and per Widget whether the user feedback form should display and require fields to collect email and name.

  • Each user feedback now includes the page from where the feedback was collected via a field called Referer. There is also a new field named Origin that indicates from what Newspage or Widget feedback was collected.

  • The top-banner widget includes a new option named Position to move and stick the banner to the top or the bottom of your page with a single click.

  • When you duplicate a post, its publication date and time are automatically set to the current date and time. Expiration time and archive status are also removed if they were set.

  • An issue impacting accounts that were updating their default profile image was fixed.

  • The issue returning “Internal Server Error” upon email subscription on Newspages has been fixed.

Updates for October 13, 2021

Enhancement
  • Widgets are up to 50% faster to load and render. Although Noticeable widgets were already amazingly fast and lightweight components, we made improvements by serving content from Cloudflare CDN (with HTTP3) and upgrading the Lit library we are using to its new major 2.0 version.

  • New customization options are available with the modal and popup widgets: you can set a custom background color and select whether the publication author must be displayed or not.

  • Upon background color change, the color of the text and some other user interface elements automatically adapt to meet color contrast standards.
