In early February, we launched support for Single Sign-On (SSO). Today, we are going further and are proud to provide an official integration with Okta: Noticeable appears in the Okta catalog as a verified app with OIDC and SAML support.

One of the main targets for cyber-criminals is your username and password. Each time you log in to a new application, it provides more opportunities for hackers. SSO reduces these chances by only requiring one set of credentials and only logging each user in once per day. Furthermore, using Okta, your company can enforce the use of strong passwords but also custom policies to better protect your organization’s assets.

Single Sign-On is available on our Enterprise plan with unlimited collaborators. Drop us a line if you are interested in giving it a try or want to upgrade.

After several months of hard work, we are proud to introduce a whole new Noticeable!

It’s hard to enumerate all the changes in a single publication. They go from a refreshed logo to a new dashboard with an improved user interface, advanced analytics, new widgets that are fully configurable through a live editor, an easy to use JavaScript SDK to interact with the Noticeable widgets, and many new features including a WYSIWYG editor, pinned publications, private Newspages, and more. Besides, this does not include all the changes we made internally to move the service to the next level.

There is so much to say that we will introduce important changes in dedicated publications in the coming days. In the meantime, here are a few changes you should be aware of:

• Timeline pages are now called Newspages.

• Posts are now referred to as Publications.

• Newspages are now served from the domain noticeable.news for users on the free plan.

• Custom domains are no longer served and verified by Firebase. This enables faster SSL certificate generation and easier maintenance.

• A new widget has been introduced and the legacy widget has been deprecated. You will receive an email with upgrade instructions by the end of the month.

A few weeks have elapsed since our last update. We’re currently busy at making changes to our internal infrastructure to support new features.

Some of you have noticed, in the Chrome developer console, a warning about an imminent HTML imports feature removal. Be reassured, the current version of the Widget will continue to work even after HTML imports removal from Google Chrome.

In the meantime, we’re also working on a new version of the Widget.

You’ve most probably already heard of the General Data Protection Regulation, more commonly known as GDPR. This regulation from the EU is overhauling the requirements for businesses who collect, process and transfer the personal data of EU citizens.

We’re writing to let you know that Noticeable is fully GDPR compliant. Our privacy policy has been updated to clarify some points.

Recently, the second version of our Zapier integration has been released. It enables new use cases via additional triggers and actions. Especially, post creations and editions are handled through 2 different events. We know this may require some tedious configurations to handle both events the same way.

We’ve listened to your feedback and are happy to say that a new Zapier trigger called "Post Created or Updated" has been added. It allows triggering a Zap when a post is created or updated and the “Forward to integrations” is enabled for that post.

We are thrilled to announce the second version of our Zapier integration. It includes new triggers and actions.

What's new?

You can trigger an action to external services when a post is deleted (new Post Deleted trigger). That's a simple solution to keep posts visible for a specific period of time with no code!

Besides, we have added 2 new actions: Create Subscriber and Delete Subscriber. Let's say you are already managing a mailing list with Mailchimp or another service, these new actions allow keeping in sync your existing list with your Noticeable Timeline subscribers.

What's changed?

Post creation and edition are now triggering 2 different events. In addition, you have the choice to trigger an action when the post that is created or edited is a draft, published, scheduled, or has any of these statuses. The default option is published.

What about existing Zaps?

If you already had a Zap configured, you should have received an email claiming that version 1.0.8 of our integration has been deprecated. You have until September 1, 2018 to upgrade to version 2.0.0. One month after this date, triggers configured with a version lower than 2.0.0 will have no guarantee to be executed.
